    Very Short Meditations For Low Capacity and/or For Beginners

    When I first began a meditation practice I had an extremely low capacity and was at a pretty severe level of illness. I had to start somewhere and at the time that somewhere was one minute of meditation. This eventually changed to two, three, four, five and so forth. With such low capacity, finding enough meditations that fit in to these categories that were tolerable was extremely difficult.     Meditations For When You’re Healing From An Infection or a Virus

    This past week, I’ve been dealing with an infection. While I have things I am taking internally and making sure I get plenty of sleep and rest, I also wanted to tailor my meditation time to help my body heal. Healing meditations can be an amazing compliment and help to your body while healing from infections and viruses. Just remember to make sure you’re doing all you need to support your body outside of meditation.     Yoga Nidra And The Consciousness Limbo

    Remember: every yoga nidra session is different and there really isn’t an absolutely ‘right’ way to do it. So, what is Yoga Nidra? Yoga nidra isn’t what you’d expect when you hear the word “yoga”. You aren’t going to be physically moving your body in different positions or really being active in any sort of way. You will likely be lying in the pose called “shavasana” which is similar to corpse pose. I personally, recommend having a pillow under your head and knees for ultimate comfort.
